Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) is attractive not only for its accessibility but also for its economic advantages.  In a Forbes article, Alexander Pasik writes that one factor will emerge as the driver of customer preference for SaaS — a consistent and intuitive user experience.

Success in the source-to-pay business process is predicated on both internal and external user adoption, driven by an intuitive user experience.  Internal users need a consistent experience to buy on-contract just as easily as they do at home with Amazon.com.  Externally, all of an organization’s suppliers need to be electronically enabled for a consistent experience that maximize the value enabled by today’s collaboration-as-a-service tools.
